Thank You for a Successful 2025 Art Drift
The 2025 Marine City Art Drift™ was a celebration of artistry, community, and collaboration. I want to thank the local businesses, artists, and supporters who made it all possible. Your enthusiasm, creativity, and hard work brought this event to life and filled the streets of Marine City with energy.
Special Acknowledgment
This year, I wasn’t able to organize the Art Drift myself, and I’m deeply grateful to the local businesswomen (Jes, Amy, and Rose) who stepped forward to help manage the logistics. Their dedication ensured the tradition carried on, and I appreciate the time and effort they invested in the event.
Looking Ahead
As the founder and owner of Marine City Art Drift™, I’ll continue to share official updates and future plans here. I’m also expanding the planning committee and inviting new voices to join in shaping the next Art Drift. If you are a Marine City business or a local artist who would like to contribute to the planning process, I’d love to hear from you. Please reach out directly at marinecityartdrift@gmail.com.

About the Marine City Art Drift ™
The Marine City Art Drift ™ is a citywide event that pairs local businesses with talented artists, turning storefronts and venues into pop-up galleries. Visitors can explore, shop, and enjoy live art experiences while discovering the creativity and charm of Marine City.
The Marine City Art Drift™ was born from New Century Art Gallery. Spearheaded by Jeanne Burris Johnson and Cory Johnson, founders of New Century, and helped by two other local businesses, the idea took shape after the gallery received a $5,000 Backing Small Business Grant from Main Street America and American Express. That early seed money—and the momentum it created—later led to an additional $25,000 enhancement grant.
But this wasn’t just about funding. The vision was clear from the beginning: to spotlight Marine City’s thriving art scene and strengthen the connection between artists, local businesses, and the community. The Art Drift launched with purpose—and it now stands as a springboard for future events that will continue to celebrate art, elevate Marine City, and build lasting bridges between creativity and commerce.

Marine City thrives when artists and businesses team up. If you’ve got ideas, energy, or just a stubborn love for this town, we’d love you at the table. We’re gathering contributors now—the planners, connectors, and behind-the-scenes minds who help shape the next Marine City Art Drift™. If that sounds like you, let’s talk.
